Hello. Empty Hello.

Hi... I'm Perpetual Machine. You can call me Perp for short, if it pleases you. I came across eRepublik today from Kongregate, and it piqued my interest. After I acquaint myself to the basics of the site, I plan to invite my friends from MafiaScum.net (This is a thinly-disguised advertisement! Check it out!)
I'm from the thawing flooding banks of the Red River, so if any of you are also from Winnipeg, drop me a line.

To do list:
Get a job (done)
Register (done)
Get a masque (doing)
Subscribe, subscribe, subscribe (done)
Read all subscriptions (doing)
Join a party
...?

What else would you suggest?

I would say join the CPP, but I'm not sure it's appropriate.

Anyway, welcome good sir to these parts.

Ah, of course. I shall certainly join a party as soon as I am 'experienced' enough.
Until then, what can I expect from the CPP? What are your stances on the key issues?
I was looking at the PPC. How do you differ from them? What makes you the right choice for me?
Also: where\'s the far-left libertarian party? v.v

EDIT: Where are my manners? Thanks for the welcome.

I suggest you sign on to as many newspapers as possible and read them so you can get plugged in.

What do you suggest? Mostly Canadian papers, or International? Any reliable sources, in particular?

What Books suggested is really what I should have said. I think it's the best way to get to know the political landscape of the country.

I suggest this article on the recent congress elections - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/what-have-you-done-canada-wgc--787554/1/20

As far as the CPP goes, here's our platform - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/cpp-congressional-platform-in-english-and-french-782256/1/20

Well, well! I must say, I quite like this platform. I've actually started sifting through Canadian and ATLANTIS history and wiki pages.
Now I'm going to look over the coalition platform... Smile
