Which party to choose?
Im almost at the level in which I can join a party, so do parties have their own pages? If not then, whats the difference between the social democrats and the progressive party.

Re: Which party to choose?
The only way to really find out what a party stands for would be to read prior postings about their platforms (in the forum or newspaper) or join a parties forum to learn what they are all about.
There's no way in the eRep program to know, otherwise. As for your second question, someone else had better answer that.

Most parties have a message board that is linked to their eRep pages. You can poke around the public places, or you can send a message to each of the party leaders and ask them a few questions. If I was in the market for a party I would ask the party leaders a few strategically chosen questions and pick my party from the answers.
I may be biased, but I would suggest checking out the CPP and see if they are right for you.

Re: Which party to choose?
Here's an article recently written by Adasko on why you should join the Canadian Paradox Party, or CPP.
It was of course written by a CPP member, and I myself am a CPP member, so there is quite a bit of bias there.
To help you get a more objective view, you could sign up for the party forums, as has been suggested, or search for past party platforms or election presentations. Here is the CPP's Congressional platform from the past month.

I've also writen to express why I joined the CEP in this article that also contain a link to the plateform: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/why-i-joined-the-cep-and-why-that-was-the-proper-choice-790350/1/20
Consider this: your interest in game might not be the same as in real life !
BTW, what ever party you chose, have fun in eCanada
