eCanada's place in the world

I read in one of the many FAQs that eCanada's influence is roughly the same as in RL (or slightly better). However, checking the rankings, I noticed that we're 6th in population, 11th in exp, 8th in GDP, and 7th in imports. Surely we're somewhat of a big player, considering RL Canada is 14th in GDP and 36th in pop.

So given this, how come we don't seem to have a big role in international affairs? Are we a peaceful nation in this eWorld too?

well we arn't big hitters at all, since we border mostly friendly Atlantis countries.

also we have one of the largest player inactive rates, so the 6th in pop should actually be sharply lower

I wonder why we one of the largest play inactive rates... Maybe we should change the welcome message? Or first we should find out why they're leaving first...

There is also quite a few that have moved to other countries that are more.. 'Interesting' I guess you could say. A lot move to Romania since it's all you hear about in eRepublik with all their wars etc.

I guess Canadians are just not interested in a social game that has nothing to do with Facebook etc.

We have a huge dead/inactive population.

Other than inflating our population, do a lot of inactive players harm eCanada in any way?

not really, it just gives the false impression of strength

also, Canadians probably have better games to play than eRep, I mean im addicted to Battlefield 2

I was under the impression that most "eCanadians" were not actually real Canadians. Not that it makes much of a difference I suppose.

Plus, you can't really compare this to other non web browser games.
