Hi Kane.
I am 5 days old. Yes it is confusing. My advice is read read read. Be polite and ask questions.
One word of wisdom from this New Citizen, is work and train every day. Change up jobs as soon as is possible and stick to one industry to start with, ie. Either Manufacturing, Land, Construction.

Hey, welcome! I'm only a month old, so I'm not exactly experienced.

The game is a bit slow for the first week or so, but soon you'll be a voter, and that makes you tremendously more interesting to the rest of us. In the meantime, it might be worth your while to join the CAF, and really get involved. Who knows what you might do!?

Hey I got a question:

I was reading an (oldish) guide for noobs in the in-guide forum. It said you'd get "points" (which I assume is exp) for publishing a newspaper and joining a party.

This isn't true is it?

^ Yes, it is true. But you need to gain 8 points before you can create a paper, and 7 points to join a party. But when you join a party or create a paper you do get a couple points.
