Re: Intellectual Theological Thread
Here is my own beliefs.
Living in Ottawa for most of my life I have been around many different beliefs like Atheist, Muslamic, Hiduism, and Christianity. If you were to trace my routes then it would go back to Protastant Ireland.
Here is what I think.
All Deities exist! But they only exist for those who believe in them! So Hinduists have their gods that exist and the muslams have Muhamad and the Christians have God/Jesus. Atheists have no one but themselves. This is the first time I have tried to explain this so if you need me to clarify something them say so. I am sorry about all the spelling mistakes.

Guys, it's not impossible to "prove anything", it's only impossible to disprove anything.
And Kyoto, yes, they exist as concepts, but that doesn't make them real, and unfortunately most theists do believe that deities physically exist, not merely as a metaphor.

I would have to disagree with you on that one, just look at all the things that have been "proven" throughout the years: the world is flat, the universe revolves around the earth, the four elements etc. The list goes on and on because there is nothing in the world that can be proven 100% sure and as science progresses old "facts or proven truths" will be discarded.

Meh, I'm agnostic, it's easier than atheism because you don't need to believe in not believing. By the way, Dom! I missed your polls.

But I can prove the existence of something in relation to current scientific methods. For example, I can prove my computer exists by showing it to you- of course, this is assuming science is right about the 5 senses, atomic structure of objects etc. etc.

PS: If you think it's weird that I get worked up over this- I almost beat a guy up and argued for half an hour because he said peanut butter is better than cheese. Idiot. Never talk shit about cheese.
