Post by Clancy Forrest Sat Feb 14, 2009 11:13 am

I was wondering if their are many noobs doing gift exchanges. Is it just for increasing wellness or are their other benefits as well? Thanks in advance....Clancy

just increasing wellness, and noobs tend to not care too much about their wellness, as long as they are alive

I am reasonably new and just starting to stay alive. I would be interested in doing gift exchange with other n00bs.

Jim, just go on mirc (at the top you'll see it under Canada's IRC) and find somebody who's online. Ask them if they'd be willing to gift you with a gift if you donate it to them, I'm sure they probably will. I know I will if you do.

Remember, gifting and donating are different. If you donate a gift then that person has the gift but doesn't get the wellness, and they can't use it to get wellness, they can only give it to someone else. However, if you gift it, then they get the wellness but not the gift.

Does that make sense? In other words, if you give somebody a gift to gift back to you, make sure you donate it and don't gift it.

I'd be interested, but does it work with just food? That is all I have and can afford ATM.

the reason why people do gift exchanges is because it is a bit cheaper than food plus you can get it up more often than once a day

I think you mean gifts. You don't need to donate food to someone for them to send it back to you so you can consume it. Your citizen eats the food automatically at 00:00 game time. It's only gifts that you need to donate to someone and they gift it back to you. You can't gift yourself, so you need someone else to gift you.
